ASM News is a monthly magazine that provides timely information on a broad range of scientific and policy issues to the worldwide community of microbiologists. Each issue contains sections devoted to current topics and in depth features on the life sciences, updates on regulatory affairs, opinion pieces, book reviews, an extensive calendar of pertinent meetings, and other listings of useful information. The magazine also contains classified employment listings and reports on ASM activities.

ASM News on line provides an annotated table of contents for each issue in print. Certain sections, such as Public and Scientific Affairs, Journal Highlights, and Meetings and Conferences and Continuing Education Calendars, are reproduced in their entirety. One article, forum or letter may also be reproduced each month for viewer comment.
